The Ward Family has been proud supporters of the Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade for many years. Having lost their first spouses to cancer, Ed & Mary learned again to celebrate life and family when they met over 20 years ago and married in 1993, blending two sets of daughters and adopting a precious 5 year old son as recent newlyweds. All four girls have attended college and attained advanced degrees in their chosen fields. Adopted son and Emmaus High School graduate Brandon is an IT specialist with the United States Navy stationed, along with 1500 other navy personnel, at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. A graduate of William Allen High School, Mary is a lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley, previously employed by David Stortz and Associates, CPA. Ed and Mary are the proud grandparents to a total of five loving grandchildren to whom Mary devotes an enormous amount of her retirement time.

Ed graduated from Penn State with a B.S.E.E and an MBA degree. After a brief assignment as a Power Consultant with PPL in their Lancaster Division, Ed began his involvement with his first wife’s family-owned printing business, eventually assuming the position of President and CEO. His daughters serve on the board of directors. In his 39TH year with Chernay Printing, Inc, Ed and his family continue to support the Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade.

“We feel honored and privileged to have been chosen as the 2012 King and Queen and are very proud to join the ranks of all the kings and queens that have come before us. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!”
