The Decorating and Porch Party Contest is Back for 2013!

February 4, 2013 (Allentown, PA) The Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, Inc. announced today that they are once again hosting the popular residential house decorating/porch party contest and a West End Parade Route Business Decorating and Office Party Contest. The contest is to be held March 17, 2013 in conjunction with the 56th Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade. The 2013 Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade will be held March 17, 2013 departing at 1:30 pm from the Allentown Fairgrounds.

House Decorating/Porch Party Contest – March 17, 2013: The 2013 Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, Inc. has designed a house decorating/ porch party contest to be judged the day of the Parade. Prizes will be awarded to the “best porch party” and “best decorated house” along the Parade route. The Parade route will form at the fairgrounds track near the Liberty and Seventeenth Streets gate (Main Gate vicinity). The Parade will proceed west on Liberty, turn north on 19th Street, west on Tilghman to 25th Street, south on 25th Street to Liberty Street, then east on Liberty Street and disband at the Fairgrounds 19th Street gate. All homes along the Parade route are encouraged to participate. Prizes will be awarded immediately upon conclusion of the Parade.

West End Parade Route Business Decorating and Office Party Contest – March 17, 2013: Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, Inc. is hosting a contest for all businesses along the Parade route to be judged the day of the Parade. Prizes will be awarded to the best decorated office and the best office party along the Parade route. The Parade route will form at the fairgrounds track near the Liberty and Seventeenth Streets gate (Main Gate vicinity). 2013 Parade Registration Extended

The Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, Inc. announced today that registration for the 2013 Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade has been extended through February 15, 2013. Registration is open to the public. Lehigh Valley businesses, youth organizations, non-profit organizations and community groups are encouraged and welcome to participate. Registration is free for non-profit and youth organizations as well as community groups. Registration is free for Lehigh Valley businesses. Lehigh Valley businesses are requested to participate as an ad book or Parade sponsor upon registration, however it is not a requirement for Parade participation. The Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade reserves the right to approve all registration submissions. Proceeds for the business registration benefits the 2013 Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade.

2013 King and Queen of the Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade

We are pleased to announce that Patrick and Maureen “O’Grady” White have been selected as the 2013 King and Queen of the Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade! Patrick and Maureen will be crowned King and Queen on March 15, 2013 at the Annual Coronation Celebration.
