West End St. Pat’s 5K Race

The Parade Committee works alongside the West End Alliance to present many of the weekend’s festivities. The West End St. Patrick’s 5K Race benefits the West End Alliance and helps kick-off the 56th Parade in 2013.

Date: Sunday, March 17, 2013

Location: Memorial Hall, Muhlenberg College; Liberty Street between 23rd and 24th street, Allentown, Pa. We will provide all participants with a PDF map to the location and suggested parking areas. Parking will be difficult with the parade. Please allow at least 15 minutes to get to Memorial Hall after parking.

- 11 a.m. bib and packet pick-up
- 12:15 p.m. sharp – race begins
- 1:30 p.m. parade begins at 19th/Liberty; passes Memorial Hall about 2 p.m.

Timing/scoring: Pretzel City Sports

Registration fees: $25 through February 10; $30 thereafter. *** No race day registration. ***

Awards: Top 3 male/female, top 3 male/female master, top 3 male/female in age groups: 0-12 (New kids’ age group!) 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ (No duplicate awards.)

NEW – Pub crawl division: We will also award the top three male and female finishers who also participated in the St. Patrick’s Pub Crawl in the West End on Saturday 3/9.

Restrictions: You must be able to finish the 5k in one hour.

- Indoor bib/packet pick-up
- Indoor restrooms
- Post-race food and hydration
- Commemorative t-shirt or glassware (your choice)
- St. Patrick’s Day parade passes start/finish area
